To commemorate two years of bringing affordable vintage, handmade, and consignment goods to the Beacon, NY area, Blackbird Attic is hosting a second-year anniversary celebration on Saturday, May 12, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Blackbird Attic's celebration falls on Second Saturday, a monthly citywide function, which features evening gallery showings, music events and more.

The anniversary celebration will boast snacks and refreshments, a 15% discount on any purchase made during the event, and extra discount coupons for the first 30 guests.

Guests are encouraged to dress up in the fashions available at Blackbird Attic during the event and pose for photos to be posted on the store's website.

There will be a styling session from 6-8pm. A fashion blogger and former womans' wear buyer will be there to answer all your fashion questions and give styling advice. You can guarantee a consult by signing up, just email sheree@itsnotthatdeep.com or you can also just show up!

This event will also serve as the opening night for Blackbird Attic's newest art showcase, a creative collaboration between Ernie and Cassandra Velasco of San Francisco, California.

About Double Parlour:
Founded in November 2007, Doubleparlour is Ernie and Cassandra Velasco. They are a husband and wife artistic duo living in San Francisco, CA. Cassandra has a B.A. in Fine Art from Humboldt State and Ernie is a self taught artist. Modern folk art or lowbrow art plays a heavy influence on their works aesthetic values. Doubleparlour's work includes solo and collaborative pieces in a variety of mediums and materials. They strive to produce well-crafted artwork with an emphasis on peculiar, humorous and melancholy characters. Their hobbies include collecting art, graphic novels, vinyl records and antiques.
